Mount the inboard and outboard mill sensor junction boxes preferably within reasonably close proximity of the mill bearing.
The selected location should be protected from damage from falling scrap and site maintenance activities.
Choose a location that allows for accessibility and easy maintenance. Typical locations are the downstream side of the mill or on the mill foundation.
The selected location should not require a sensor flylead run longer than 18ft from mill bearing sensor to junction box. Use 90deg necks where necessary to keep armored cables out of harm's way.
The maximum supported mill sensor flylead length is 25ft from mill bearing sensor to junction box.
Choose the most protected path to run the armored flylead from the mill bearing to junction box.
